I know I should be jumping up and down, but please consider that we submitted this paperwork in May of 2006… I am glad that we passed their inspection and all, but c’mon – they have just NOW finished looking at it???? I bet it was pretty dusty.

well, hello there!

Welcome to our adoption journey! We have been working on the idea of having children for the past five or so years, and finally decided that international adoption was our best option in January of 2006. We submitted an application to adopt a baby girl or twins from China. At the time, it was the country that made the most sense to us for a lot of reasons that I won’t get into here. What we didn’t know at the time was that it would be a very. long. journey. What started out as an expected wait of 9-11 months has turned into a wait of three or so years. We knew when we started that we wanted to add two little girls to our family, and when the Vietnam adoption program re-opened we knew it was great news for us. We began our Vietnamese adoption process in February of 2007. At the moment we are doing both adoptions concurrently, but we will have to wait and see what happens. Thank you for following along!
